Introduction

Founded in 1921, CIGRE, the Council on Large Electric Systems is an international non-profit association for promoting collaboration with experts from all around the world by sharing knowledge to improve electric power systems of today and tomorrow.

The Australian National Committee was established in 1953 and has its office in Sydney, with members across continental Australia and New Zealand. We have around 120 organisations and 400 members contributing to and leveraging the global network to meet our challenging market and geographic environment. We do this by our contribution to international Study Committees and Working Groups and locally via Australian Panels that
mirror work undertaken internationally.
